On 17 June 2024, Thailand Insurance Institute (TII), together with The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), organized a seminar on “Building trust for insurance industry via empathy in claims management”, at Thailand Insurance Institute Bangkok, with an aim to support the insurance industry in Thailand to build public trust in insurance.

We were honored by Ms.Uthaiwan Chumtanti, President of TII, to give an opening speech.

The first session was about “Empathy on Claims” by Ms.Katrina Shanks, CEO of ANZIIF.

In the second session, we were honored to have 3 panelists — Ms.Katrina Shanks ,CEO of ANZIIF; Ms.Petchvilai Phuergsuwan, Director of General Claims Department at Dhipaya Insurance PCL; Mr.Jittiwut Sasibutra, President of Thai Insurance Brokers Association and CEO of Howden Maxi Insurance Broker Co., Ltd.—discussing ex-gratia payment from the perspective of institute, insurer, and broker. The session was moderated by Mr. Jakkrit Khaosaard, CEO of Sedgwick (Thailand) Co., Ltd. from the perspective of loss adjuster.

Finally, we are honored by Mr.Mark Silveira, General Manager Industry Engagement of ANZIIF to give a closing speech.
