50th ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting: A Significant Step Towards Regional Collaboration

The 50th ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting was successfully held at The Empire Brunei in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, from November 26-28, 2024. Representatives from 10 ASEAN countries gathered to develop and support the sustainable growth of the insurance industry, encompassing regulator, life insurance, and general insurance sectors.

On this occasion, Thailand Insurance Institute, led by our President, Khun Uthaiwan Chumtanti, participated as Thailand’s representative under the ASEAN Insurance Education Committee (AIEC). The discussions focused on developing educational programs in the insurance business to meet ASEAN all along to international standards. These programs include 2 key courses: ASEAN Professional Insurance Diploma (APID) and ASEAN Reinsurance Programmes (ARP), which aim to facilitate knowledge exchange and strengthen collaborative networks for future endeavors.
